Leaving Spain… and then…?

Leaving the Island of Ibiza felt good, we wanted to continue exploring and traveling again. We had some experience now with the equipment that we had bought before leaving and needed to make some small adjustments, so we did that at the friend’s house in Valencia before heading to our next adventure.
First, we went to a big amusement park close by Salou, Spain: PortAventura World because that was a wish from Quinn. Driving there was already exciting because during the ride the new bought tablet got a broken screen and shortly after arriving there Querijn’s phone died in a rollercoaster (first ride).. What was the universe telling us here, what was the message? We really felt deeply that transforming our lives like we did also comes with internal shifts and changes and being more offline and screenless is going to be one of them.
We left Spain after these intense and fun days and realized that nature was calling us, we went to the Pyrenees! The silent and deep energies of the mountains were amazing, a few days after arriving there, Simone got into a women’s Mary Magdalene retreat and Querijn and Quinn had a week of father-son time.
Simone experienced a deep insightful and transforming week in the caves and other beautiful places there and Querijn and Quinn had a blast hanging out together, going for instance to Andorra, climbing and relaxing at Ax-Les-Thermes.
After a week they picked up Simone from the retreat center and drove towards Italy!
We arrived at the first camping in Italy and had dinner there in the village, we ate a delicious real Italian pizza with some tiramisu. The energy of the land, kindness of the people there and the incredible food instantly gave us a deep feeling of coming home. All three of us felt deeply within that this was going to be our new home country. We felt that we just have to follow the flow of our heart and keep our eyes and ears open to possibilities. Querijn got the feeling to check some websites and plots of land and felt the pull towards the south. Meanwhile we visited multiple beautiful places to stay and spread the fact that we are open to find a piece of land to buy. We met amazing people and got a lot of tips and inspiration along the way from those people, for example: watch out for earthquake areas, how to handle business meetings in Italian culture, getting help with obtaining a Codice Fiscale (Italian social security number), more other tips in how to buy land in Italy etc. The first plot of land that Querijn found online already got our attention, but our mind said, it cannot be that easy to find it so let’s wait for it…
Of course we first need to visit places and feel them and ask some questions before buying anything.
With all the feeling into it and information that we got on the way we felt a great pull towards Puglia, we visited multiple brokers for some useful information and in the end, we made three appointments to visit some plots of land before leaving Italy for now.
The first two were nice but we didn’t get the ‘woohoo!’ feeling and the third one (the one that Querijn saw online from the beginning) we felt our heart opening and felt tears coming up, THIS IS OUR NEW HOME!!! PARADISE IT IS!!!
It only took us two days (after having some answers to a few questions about the possibilities there) to make a bid which got excepted, online we got an agreement for that and in Italy it is the law that the buy is legal from that moment. From this moment onward we were the proud owners of a plot of land near Martina Franca, Italia!
